I'm trying to figure out why our rankings have been suffering lately. On one of our sites we sell vehicle parts and our rankings used to be quite good. After about two months our rankings began to drop. We started to change our feeds by adding more attribute which helped for a while, but the rankings fell even lower after about another month. For example, one of our smaller sites that used to get up to 800 hits a day from Google Base with a pretty basic data feed is now getting less than 100 with a better data feed. This same website did suffer from a duplicate content problem caused by the way our URLs where written for several months, but that problem has been solved. Could this be the reason our rankings have dropped? Does the ranking of the web page have any effect on the ranking of Google Base Products? We upload to Google Base Every Day. Could uploading too often be causing any trouble? Maybe the way we were formatting our feed was the problem: Our product type field used to look something like this: "Acura, CL, 2000, Seat Cover". I did not think this was the right way to do it, so just yesterday I changed our feed to start using a 3 new custom attributes that look similar to these: formake:"Acura" formodel:"CL" foryear:"2000" product_type"seat cover" Any help on this subject will be greatly appreciated. Our website is easy to use and the content is good. It has what our customer's want, but we are finding it difficult to tell Google Base that. We are currently only getting results on about 0.1% of our items listed per day where as we used to get results on up to 2% of our items per day from Google Base.
