Well, as this is a Gmail forum (one run by users, not by Google), I will keep it brief. If, like me, you use Sprint as your carrier, you probably can't easily delete Google Plus from your phone. Under Settings, you should be able to disable it though. Go to Settings, then Apps, then select Google+. On my phone I have Force Stop, Disable, and Uninstall Updates button. Poke the Disable button.
