​That's true; but one wouldn't "upload" to the local Drive folder.  The
upload is taken care of, invisibly, when Drive syncs the two areas.  Even
if you have never installed the local Drive application, then uploads to
Drive go to the cloud area, which is always there simply by having a Google
(i.e., Gmail) account.
