I read that Gmail ignores capitalization and dots in usernames. However... Recently I replied to an email and when I looked back at the email I sent, by HOVERING my mouse over the address info withOUT clicking on the drop-drown menu list of recipients & sender, it showed the username in lowercase. Then when I clicked on the drop-down menu list of recipients and sender, the same email address had the 1st initial capitalized.
For example, hover = *j*[email protected] and click on drop-down menu list = *J*[email protected] (I even noticed that in contacts, the 1st initial is capitalized too) For me this is particularly confusing that both "hovering over" and "drop down menu list" *do not have the same appearance* because then I wonder if my emails are being sent to the correct username address.
