Hi @andygrove, I'm interested in contributing to #6981. I'd like to start with a focused refactoring that extracts the shared variable-length slot writing logic from `TypedElements::write_elements_slow()`, while preserving the existing serialization behavior. I'll add regression tests for the affected types and keep the broader loop refactoring and error handling outside the initial PR. I noticed the issue still has the `requires-triage` label.
