Updates for 2026/09/09: we are halfway there! The physical operator, logical semantics, and SQL frontend have all been merged, so the ASOF join is now technically ready for SQL users. We are currently focusing on the remaining half, which includes the DataFrame API, serialization, and benchmarks. Once these main tasks are complete, several follow-up items will also be merged.
