I would like to test a component in our intranet test bed or on my local
machine, so the public TEAM Engine won't work. I would also - as a next step -
like to implement some additional custom tests and run them in TEAM Engine.
That's why I chose the approach to download and compile myself.

I'm a newbie and this is where I'm stuck. What exactly do I have to do with
which files?
Best regards

OGC runs a cite test server you can use remotely to test your instance; I would
use that if you would like to quickly run the most current cite tests now. The
data/cite directory provides an example configuration, it requires a database
configured with the correct layers, and the contents of those layers needs to
be reset each time you run the test (as the test performs some transaction
statements).
Our automated tests (which you can see here
http://ares.boundlessgeo.com/jenkins/view/testing-cite/ ) are an example of us
using the CITE Test Engine in a way it was not really designed for.
We would really like to upgrate our automated cite tests to use the "latest"
engine (so we can contribute any engine fixes back to the OGC). Right now we
are using a copy from 2012.

Hello list,
I'm trying to run cite tests against my Geoserver installation but I'm having
some problems:
First approach:
Download current TEAMEngine, setup, download and setup ets-Tests (to get
started: ets-wfs10).
Problem here: Which is the data dir inside ets-wfs10 to give to Geoserver? I
tried several and Geoserver wouldn't start up with any (I did change
logging.xml).
Next approach:
Follow the Geoserver Cite Test Guide in the Developer Manual.
Clone geoserver-cite-tools - cannot build. Missing submodule engine.
Can someone point me to some up-to-date information on how to setup the CITE
tests or give me hints how to proceed with the above approaches?
Thanks
Dennis
