I would like to use Geoserver to display my shapefiles online. However,I am
having trouble with the uploading part. I do not have premissions to alter
the file WEB-INF/web.xml as mentioned in the online tutorial given here:
http://docs.geoserver.org/latest/en/user/datadirectory/
setting.html#datadir-setting. I have downloaded an xml editor and I still
have not had any luck. Do you have any advice? or a simple work-around to
connect my hard drive to the online server?
Any help is much appreciated.
