Makes sense. Currently the extension lives in my github repo.
https://github.com/jdeolive/geoserver/tree/scripting
And allows for the plugging in of a process via python, no requirement to
use geoscript.
The plan is to soon turn it into a community module on the geoserver master
branch. Expect to see that within a couple of weeks i would say.
