Since yesterday i have
<merge key="input.xkb.layout" type="string">de</merge>
<merge key="input.xkb.variant" type="string">nodeadkeys</merge>

but it took a while to find the right syntax. At which place is e.g.
input.xkb.options mentioned in the documentation?
Could't find one, so i have guessed from the entry in my xorg.conf. *g*
