Hi IPMC Members, I want to propose EasyXL[1] as a new Apache Incubator project. You can find the proposal[2] of EasyXL for more details.
[1] https://github.com/fast-excel/fastexcel [2] https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/INCUBATOR/EasyXL+Proposal EasyXL is a Java library that provides fast, memory-efficient, and easy-to-use Excel file processing. It was created to simplify Excel development, reduce the risk of memory leaks, and improve processing efficiency, especially for large datasets. By optimizing Apache POI’s Excel parsing logic, EasyXL provides a streamlined API and built-in model conversion features that enable developers to focus on business logic instead of low-level file handling. The project has an active user base and a growing community, with adoption in production by multiple companies and organizations. We believe that bringing EasyXL to the Apache Software Foundation will ensure its long-term neutrality, encourage a more diverse and sustainable contributor base, and accelerate adoption globally by following “The Apache Way” of open, meritocratic, and community-driven development. I'll act as the champion, and here is the proposed mentor list: tison [[email protected]] Dave Fisher [[email protected]] Huajie Wang [[email protected]] PJ Fanning [[email protected]] Note that both Dave and PJ are PMC members of Apache POI. Best, tison. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [email protected] For additional commands, e-mail: [email protected]
