Dear Incubator Community,

My name is *Surafel Temesgen*, and I previously introduced *Debo*, a
lightweight, modular CLI-based Hadoop cluster management tool inspired by
Apache Ambari.

I’m pleased to announce that *Debo CLI has reached version 0.1.0*. Although
the incubation request for Debo has not progressed, I’ve decided to
continue development independently at my own pace. That said, *Debo remains
open to entering the Apache Incubator at any time*, and I am committed to
aligning its development with the *Apache Way*—embracing open governance,
transparency, community-led collaboration, and permissive licensing.

Debo CLI 0.1.0 supports:

   -

Installation and uninstallation of major Hadoop components (HDFS, YARN,
   Kafka, etc.)
   -

Agent-based and standalone modes for flexible deployments
   -

   Lightweight monitoring and configuration management
   -

Terminal-first workflows for power users and sysadmins

I deeply value the feedback, mentorship, and encouragement the ASF
community has offered so far. I welcome any continued guidance on:

   -

   ASF-compatible project structuring and governance
   -

   Expanding the contributor base
   -

Re-engaging with the incubation process when the time is right

Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to further
discussions with the community and exploring how Debo can contribute
meaningfully to the ASF ecosystem.

Warm regards,
*Surafel Temesgen*
