Hi I am also a mentor of the KIE project and I know they are hard working on making all the many adjustments that a big project like KIE requires to move to ASF. However I am also concerned that fellow ASF is pushing back on issues in this incubator phase, where regular releases are a step forward. The community is awaiting releases and are eager to see the KIE project moving to ASF.
