It not a requirement that all projects have their names trademarked. You can see the full list here [1] and you note that not every project is listed. If there are any trademarks with the project name they would need to be transferred to the ASF when the project graduates from the Incubator. What is the reason that the trademark is unlikely to be registered, is the name or a similar one already registered? Changing a projects name can be a lot of work, so we like to know of any issues along these lines before a project is accepted into the Incubator.
