Hi, all, We are China Telecom Corporation Limited Cloud Computing Branch Corporation. We hope to contribute one of our projects name 'HBlock' to Apache. Now we are in the process to get into the incubation steps.
At present, 'HBlock' is not registered as a registered trademark in any country. After our investigation, it can be registered in mainland China, but the probability of successful registration in the United States is less than 45%. Would you please let me know: 1. Must Apache's open source projects be registered trademarks? 2. If HBlock is only registered in China and not registered in the United States, is there any risks? 3. Do we have to change the product / program name that can be registered in the US? Best wishes.
