I'm aware that mailinglists work at either: it took me by surprise a while back. For them too there are a couple of alternatives, that should perhaps have been DISCUSSed before a VOTE. For WWW, a redirect means both addresses work but resolve to a canonical one (and graduation just means the redirect switches around and becomes a 301). For mail we get similar behaviour already if the list sets reply-to the canonical address and list admin addresses (which I think it does). But this belongs in a [DISCUSS] thread.
