That is true, and I still I agree with Joes statement. But let me be clear, I agree with the statement Joe made, not the statement you seem to think he made. Joe did *not* say that we should kick projects out at a specified point in time. What he said was "I wish we could get past the whole idea that we are punishing a podling by insisting that they take their work to say github instead.... What we lack is a sensible mechanism for reviewing longstanding projects in terms of their projected future in this place." We are *not* talking about disciplining mentors we are talking about helping them do a better job or, if they are inactive, recognising this and helping the podling find the mentoring they need. It is about feedback loops, not about big sticks.
