My main concern is over the small number of people writing code for the project, so I'd actually be more pleased to see you as a committer (or just a patch contributor) than a non-coding PMC chair. In fact your recent patch submissions already make the Pivot contribution report in Jira look better than it used to. Together with Sandro Martini's recent commits the project is starting to look better each day.
