Tagging is only essential for source repos.
AFAICT, marking a Git repo as read-only/archived is done by running a script [1]
This has to be done by Infra. I don't think the status is stored anywhere apart
from the repos themselves (and the Jira issue trail)
I assume granting Attic temporary RW permission will need to be done via Jira
issues.
Whether it is possible to grant access to the website branch only, I don't know.
