I have no additional information. I just want to make the point that these issues involve lawyers, and they involve RMS, and it's not a major priority for any of them. It takes time. It's frustrating. But it is most likely not the case that secret negotiations are happening. It is far more likely that nothing is happening at all. There is a simple technique which anybody is free to use to make this happen much faster: make a large donation to the SFLC and/or the FSF, contingent on this issue being finished. In the absence of that, it will happen in the time that people have available to work on it. Ian
