  switch (a)
   {
   ...
   case n:
      do-stuff;
   default:
     switch (a)
       {
       case n:
         do-stuff;
       ...
       }
   }

yes, you can simply drop cases when there is no code in the outer switch.

We check that the second switch has a single predecessor block so this case can't happen.
