This patch does not affect the behavior of the compiler. It adds a new attribute that is used to help the backend to identify temporary variables internally generated by the frontend which can be safely reevaluated.
No test required. Tested on x86_64-pc-linux-gnu, committed on trunk 2011-08-02 Javier Miranda <mira...@adacore.com> * einfo.ads, einfo.adb (Is_Safe_To_Reevaluate): new function. (Set_Is_Safe_To_Reevaluate): new procedure. * sem_ch5.adb (Analyze_Assignment): Add one assertion to ensure that no assignment is allowed on safe-to-reevaluate variables. (Analyze_Iteration_Schine.Process_Bounds.One_Bound): Decorate the temporary created to remove side effects in expressions that use the secondary stack as safe-to-reevaluate. * exp_util.adb (Side_Effect_Free): Add missing code to handle well variables that are not true constants.
