GCC provides support for the last few releases as good will for others. But there is a point where volunteers need to say we can't support everything and all odd thing. If you want to step up to volunteer to support Solaris 10, you could always write to gcc@ and CC the current maintainer of solaris support (which is listed in MAINTAINERS file on the trunk). Otherwise you have to find someone be willing to support you; most likely they will request some kind of payment too.
