The patch showed no regressions and fixed all of the ieee_*.f90 and large_1.f90 tests, so I think this patch is good to go for powerpc*-linux. The large_2.f90 failure I mentioned earlier is not caused by this patch, but maybe due to [1] or some other earlier patch. I will track that down.
