Hi Jerry, could you look at this? This also fixes excessive seeking when writing, but this is deep regression country (backspace_5.f, backspace_6.f and streamio_12.f90 are candidates for failure here :-) and the more people look at this, the better. -- http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=33985
