The linker error message indicates that we aren't generating a PLABEL for a function entry. Unfortunately, this entry point is a local symbol that has been reduced to a text section offset. That's what "$CODE$" indicates. There are quite a few in the stdexcept.o and so far I haven't been able to figure out which symbol is causing the error.
