Yeah, right. Disney and Nike are really appropriate examples -- for
(involuntarily) satisfying "society's appetite for a good story" about
their child labor in the Far East... while these corporations themselves
were busy satisfying society's appetite for a good distraction from reality.
But maybe this points at the problem with the "Dream Society" described in
that book -- maybe the book should be renamed to
"The PR Nightmare Society : How the Coming Shift from Information to
Misinformation Will Transform Your Business
from selling Products to selling Deceptions."
... Probably the only aspect in which Micro$oft is actually innovative and
years ahead of the competition.
