OK, forget it :-) Just a fast jump in v4l2.py gave me the solution :

I did set secam-l in freevo.conf, as this is the value that works with 
v4l2-ctl. But v4l2.py wait for secam_l

So, with secam_l in my freevo.conf, freevo is running fine again :-)
