Another thought, I just had. Have you tried ipmitool or "ipmiutil"? If they behave the same way as FreeIPMI is on sensors, then I would get the feeling this is a motherboard issue, not a FreeIPMI issue. ipmiutil is written by a fellow that works at Intel. So if there is any project that has had access to that motherboard and has tested it on that motherboard, it'd be that one :-) Do you think you could give it/them a shot?
