Assuming it was renamed properly, and during boot the kernel displays the drive…. Without knowing more… I think that is an FDISK bug. Or, possible one with FORMAT. Regardless, I’ve seen this several times with small drives. Make sure you HD size is in excess of 512 MB. Pre-allocated and not set to SPLIT.
