I don't see where the bug tracker on SourceForge requires anyone to be
"authorized" by the project admin. Can you provide more detail here?

So you were able to submit a bug after your earlier email. What
changed? Did you have to click on something different in the SF
tracker  to enter a bug?

The SF tracker has always required that anyone submitting a bug
already has a SourceForge account. We even have a note on the "Bugs"
page on the website that if you don't have a SF login, you can email
me and I'll enter the bug on your behalf (and I have done for folks).
