I don't see where the bug tracker on SourceForge requires anyone to be "authorized" by the project admin. Can you provide more detail here?

Did you have to click on something different in the SF tracker to enter a bug? The SF tracker has always required that anyone submitting a bug already has a SourceForge account. We even have a note on the "Bugs" page on the website that if you don't have a SF login, you can email me and I'll enter the bug on your behalf (and I have done for folks).
