Hi Jerome!

Cool idea, but that seems to include source code.

If FreeCOM itself would be 4.8 MB, you could not
even make a boot floppy with it ;-)

There are 64 packages with megabyte sizes, and
the following are at least 10 MB, according to
the current https://fd.lod.bz/survey/ website,
grouped by category:

DJGPP GCC 12 MB
DJGPP Objective C Compiler 11 MB
DOjS 14 MB
FreeBASIC 17 MB (!) (plus 3 MB help files)
FreePascal 31 MB (!)
IA-16 GNU Binutils 10 MB
IA-16 Newlib 27 MB
OpenWatcom C 14 MB
Perl 26 MB

VIM 12 MB

VICE 21 MB

FreeDOOM 13 MB (Boom DOOM is 8 MB)
KRaptor 10 MB

OpenGEM 19 MB

Links 13 MB

MPLayer 25 MB

ClamAV Database (how old??) 23 MB

Looks like IA-16 is even more bloated than DJGPP.
In total 64 packages are at least 1 MB, 251 are
smaller, including 4 which are less than 10 kB.

Cheers, Eric
