Hi there,

I noticed that FreeCOM is using much CPU on my PII machine according to
FDAPM. When FreeCOM runs in an empty shell, FDAPM (APMDOS) reports about
~50% of CPU idleness, while if I run a power-efficient application that
call INT28 from time to time (besides doing its real job), FDAPM reports
easily 99% of idle time.

Is this the expected behavior, or maybe there's some room for FreeCOM's
power efficiency improvements? It would seem to me that when the shell
is lazily waiting for user input, the CPU should be the least possible used.

Running FreeCOM 0.84pre2.
