touche' about Boost... having trouble compiling it with mingw-w64 and MSYS (of
which now there's msys2 and apparently I am supposed to compile that build env
too)...
I need to consider whether doing a dual license with one of then being PD or
open source would open me up to future problems or not. maybe I should drop the
subject.
is there going to be at least an EFI/UEFI-enabled FreeDOS? will it have any
task switching (hope)? is any 64-bit in the works (possibly because of UEFI)?
multithreading?
would be wonderful if int 21h or int 13h gave access to SMART data or there was
a SMART utility (maybe I just didn't look hard enough). -------------

Eric, you left off the (fallacious) part about "AND it's OS-portable"
(which I re-quoted here).

Look at their "Compilers Tested": Clang, GCC, MSVC, Intel. They also
only actively test under Linux, OS X, and Windows.
Jim, it's fairly obvious that even with partial existing support for
DOS (e.g. OpenWatcom, DJGPP), most people don't care. Sorry to burst
your bubble, but upstream projects usually aren't very sympathetic to
anything that isn't hugely supported and popular.
