Too much PC waiting to test, the old and the new one usually not so compatible, but sadly, not many people have several PC around. >If I would work ONLY in emulation, I would need no FORMAT at >all... Windows can't format 1680K floppy without tools, of course Linux can. But the free DEFRAG still far from stable, CHKDSK less stable than DOSFSCK. To be safe, now I use Lucho's close source CHKDSK. >If you have VDS vs. SCSI problems, join the club and create a memory >dump of your c000-efff segments (w/o emm386 loaded) and put it on >your homepage, so we can analyze it.... Retriving part of the code and analyze is acceptable under the condition of "not reverse engineering or modifying the code", and then ... hey! that is a piece of "old" hardware. I'll try to move my SCSI card to test PC and did some SCSI test. My IWILL XA-100plus works perfect with FreeDOS but Acer seems not. Maybe it's good to have a reference for others. Please send some guide to me ... How to dump "c000-efff". Or any other information is useful? >PS: Feel free to reply on-list, possibly quoting parts of this mail...
