Given what you do in FreeDOS project, we have got to you an actual floppy-installed machine. Doesn't your university ever throw out old machines you could dumpster-dive for? I not uncommonly see relics being thrown out here, but it'd cost more to send to the Netherlands than to buy a minimal system locally. FreeDOS doesn't seem to have a donate link people could toss their pocket change in, and sponsor a test system for FreeDOS. Maybe that's an idea to consider.
