Given what you do in FreeDOS project, we have got to you an actual floppy-installed machine. Doesn't your university ever throw out old machines you could dumpster-dive for? I not uncommonly see relics being thrown out here, but it'd cost more to send to the Netherlands than to buy a minimal system locally. FreeDOS doesn't seem to have a donate link people could toss their pocket change in, and sponsor a test system for FreeDOS. Maybe that's an idea to consider.
Vmware catches most things, but I'm still looking for a small computer, and especially a very small monitor.
On a computer market years ago they had a bunch of small computer screens (like on a shop counter, 12" or so), but I could not afford it.
I have one Pentium100 machine here, but it's not in usable state, I'll look around for a refurbished antique.
Old computers..no, we have GreenPeace dump them before the building of Hewlett Packard,
instead of donating them to people who have no computer at all.
A friend of mine is very happy with an old computer I had for her.
So if anyone knows a shop here in the Netherlands which has tiny computer screens (TFT is a bit too expensive, sorry!)..
Bernd
