Neither insist doing this or that, if the option is USEFUL and
NECESSARY, (in this EMM386 case) why not just compile the 2 switch in,
and follow the most compatible standard?

I agree.
Depends on the "education level" of the user, you can't listen to them
everytime but you can't listen none, only filter out the reasonable
request, it's like SPAM email ... waste of time and tired but it's the
best way.

And I think we should be more objective on the FreeDOS.

Tom once said: "Just compile and shut up". IMO it's a bit rude (sorry
Tom) but I like his style, put more effort on work instead of arguing,
just send out the program and let the user decide "what to do next".
