_Bugfixed_ kernel allows this. The more so, even with older kernels bug
happens _only if_ you use I=A000- in command line explicitly.

Joe User doesn't uses I= (or, if uses, then it is low probable that he
will use I=A000). Thus, if someone uses I=A000, then this is not Joe User
and he will know (or may ask) that for older kernel (why he prefer to keep
old kernel?!) he may use I=A001.
