That would probably be fine, but please try that under windows first so 
that you get an idea of the kind of images that come back from your 
knuckle. As long as they aren't all-white or all-black (i.e. there is 
some substance in the image) it will still be useful.

Also, at least when sniffing the data, no need to attempt to swipe your 
knuckle. Just placing it against the sensor should be fine. I think we 
will find that this sensor, like the other swipe sensors we support, 
returns continuous "slice"-images (i.e. image resolution of approx 
200x16) with varying overlap - and then the computer has to piece them 
together and eliminate overlap. So as long as we can get some of the 
slice images from the device, that should be all we need to go on.
