lvm not working was caused by the sd_mod.ko module missing.

foresight now finally boots.
but next problem ahead: network does not load.

ethernet controller appears to be rtl-8139, and i tried loading
8139cp.ko or 8139too.ko.

both give errors.
modprobe claims that it can't find the modules, and insmod complains
about unknown symbols
