When I held my LAC presentation, I got some feedback saying that
FluidSynth is a well working program that was useful to a lot of people
in the room. And so I would just want to relay that feedback to all of
you who have contributed to FluidSynth in various ways - do feel proud
about your achievements, and thanks!
Btw, an interesting feature request was support for the sfz format. The
sfz format seems to require some extra support from the engine
(equalizers, change filter from lowpass to highpass, maybe a few more
LFOs) but not unreachable much. As of now, while it would be
interesting, I won't have the time to implement this any time soon. But
if anyone is up for a summer project and is serious about it, I'd be
happy to do some mentoring.
As for the presentation itself, the slides and a video is available [1]
(although I haven't had time to watch the video, so I don't know if I
make a fool out of myself!) and I'll commit the paper to the FluidSynth
documentation when I get back home.
