I think you intended this for Clive.   I am a long time FG user.

You also wrote "..when I select any of the resolutions offered (800x600 
through to 1280 x 1024)...".  You can also override this setting by typing in 
what ever resolution is correct for your setup even if this spans more than 
one screen.  That is you are not restricted to the resolutions that are 
offered.  Since you are using a three screen setup with TripleHead2Go if you 
want FG to span those three screens then you would enter the resolution of the 
combined screens.  So if your 3 screens are 1600x1200 each the combined 
logical screen would be 4800x1200 and this is what you would enter as the 
resolution in the FG launcher.
