I have just discovered FlightGear and am eager to try it.
I have downloaded version v 1.9.1 onto a Vista Home Premium OS PC. I am using
a GeForce 9600GT dual DVI graphics card which confusingly has 2 output
ports. One of the ports is connected to a TripleHead2Go monitor multiplier which
works fine with both FSX and X-Plane 9. (Sorry, I promise not to use strong
langage like that in future.)
Once started I have selected the Cessna 172 at Half Moon Bay (I used to fly
Flight Unlimited as well). The trouble is the set up screen to select screen
resoulution etc is perfectly readable but when I select any of the resolutions
offered (800x600 through to 1280 x 1024) all I see is the centre of the
instrument panel. It doesn't matter which resolution I use the image on the 3
screens is identical (i.e the centre of the panel in identical detail). I
tried de-selecting the Full Screen option and saw the complete panel and a
little of the airfield on the left hand monitor but the central and right
monitors were blank.
Finally, is there a way to configure my joystick in FG? I am using a Saitek
X52 and although the throttle was completely closed the Cessna was crashing all
around the airfield at about 40-50 kts.
I would appreciate any help you can offer,
Thank you
