Hm, I don't know how to install specifically the X11 SDK. Yesterday, I've
already installed the Xcode which I've downloaded from Apple, Version 3.2.6.
So I just installed it again from the downloaded package.
The command
fink install x264
now complains nothing and runs without errors.
Again:
fink-virtual-pkgs --debug 2>&1 | grep -A18 libX11.6.dylib
- checking for library libX11.6.dylib... found in /usr/X11R6/lib
- checking for X servers... /usr/X11R6/bin/Xquartz
- system-xfree86-shlibs provides x11-shlibs
- found an X server, system-xfree86 provides xserver and x11
- checking for header X11/Xlib.h... found in /usr/X11R6/include
- system-xfree86-dev provides x11-dev
- checking for library libGL.1.dylib... found in /usr/X11R6/lib
- system-xfree86-shlibs provides libgl-shlibs
- system-xfree86 provides libgl
- checking for header GL/gl.h... found in /usr/X11R6/include
- checking for library libGL.dylib... found in /usr/X11R6/lib
- system-xfree86-dev provides libgl-dev
- checking for library libXft.1.dylib... missing
- checking for library libXft.2.dylib... found in /usr/X11R6/lib
- system-xfree86-shlibs provides xft2-shlibs
- checking for library libXft.dylib... found in /usr/X11R6/lib
- libXft points to Xft2
- system-xfree86-dev provides xft2-dev
- system-xfree86 provides xft2
Hm, there's still something missing, libXft.1.dylib?
After additionally installing "Mac OS 10.4 SDK" from the mentioned
Xcode-package there is it always missing (I don't know what I'm doing, just as
a try):
fink-virtual-pkgs --debug 2>&1 | grep -A18 libX11.6.dylib
- checking for library libX11.6.dylib... found in /usr/X11R6/lib
- checking for X servers... /usr/X11R6/bin/Xquartz
- system-xfree86-shlibs provides x11-shlibs
- found an X server, system-xfree86 provides xserver and x11
- checking for header X11/Xlib.h... found in /usr/X11R6/include
- system-xfree86-dev provides x11-dev
- checking for library libGL.1.dylib... found in /usr/X11R6/lib
- system-xfree86-shlibs provides libgl-shlibs
- system-xfree86 provides libgl
- checking for header GL/gl.h... found in /usr/X11R6/include
- checking for library libGL.dylib... found in /usr/X11R6/lib
- system-xfree86-dev provides libgl-dev

- checking for library libXft.2.dylib... found in /usr/X11R6/lib
- system-xfree86-shlibs provides xft2-shlibs
- checking for library libXft.dylib... found in /usr/X11R6/lib
- libXft points to Xft2
- system-xfree86-dev provides xft2-dev
- system-xfree86 provides xft2
