There is a USB stick you can buy from Apple, but no "installation disc", 
indeed.

OTOH, the X11 that comes with 10.6 is not so old; it is the xquartz that 
was up yo date when 10.6 came out. Unless you need some very specific 
feature of later xquartz releases, X11 on 10.6 works quite well.
