On top of that it can also be caused in older versions of e if you don't 
have either the gnome 2 or kde3 icon set installed, if thats the case 
selecting a different icon set in the Look settings will fix the issue, 
I fixed the search path in one of the e19 point releases to include the 
icon themes from Gnome 3 and KDE 4/5 but the check is only done on first 
run as part of the wizard.
