Ibar contains launchers and maybe now also tasks, I don't have any Ibar
around from ages :)

Systray, aka Notification area, contains icons from applications that
needs to show visual notifications, so instant messengers like pidgin or
skype, dropbox, network manager...
AFAIK thunderbird does not provide any tray icon, and if it would you
should execute it in order to see its tray icon, so what you see is
likely its launcher.

E has a systray but I don't know if it's working now. You can enable it
via settings->modules.

The list of icons in your Ibar should be in
~/.e/e/applications/bar/default/.order.
