SecondLife "TV"s have exactly the same problem, been going on for years, and not likely to change any time soon. YouTube does not WANT people bypassing their advertisements, so they keep changing it to break things that try to just show the video. It's worse in SecondLife, often people use their virtual TVs to show YouTube music videos to large audiences.
