in the meantime I found the 'Warp at end' feature (Window switcher
settings), but this is also ignored when "Prevent all forms of pointer
warping" is set.
But it seems like this flag is required to ignore mouse warps from those
nasty dialogs (a good example is the save dialog in libre office).
So I've come up with a patch that seems to implement a "only warp mouse
when switching windows" behavior. I guess I'm just not aware of all the
ways this could break, but so far I'm happy with it.
